Inside Out
Inside Out
Jul 1, 2025 7:50 AM

We all have our private internal worlds that we live in. Except for the windows of words or body language it is invisible to everyone else but is a precious part of our identity. On the one hand we want to keep that world a secret. We spend much energy guarding it and trust very few with its contents. On the other hand one of our deepest needs is to know others and be known. Some of us lean toward the value of secrecy, others toward letting others in, but it is a balancing act for all of us.

Being vulnerable and willing to share our internal lives is vital to being On Call in Culture. In order for our daily lives to be a blessing to the world, we need the refinement es through accountability and the encouragement es from fellow believers. Through munity of people who are asking the tough questions and encouraging us, we grow more disciplined in our outreach and more confident in our efforts.

The Check In Team came out of this dual need. This team of believers is forming in order to find accountability in our daily activities and to be encouraged in the process. But the benefits of discipline and encouragement e when we are willing to open up our inside worlds and share generously from them. Do you have the courage to live inside out? We believe the benefits of sharing will far outweigh the dangers.

When you open up and allow others to be a part of your world things change dramatically:

You learn to articulate what God is teaching you in your personal life. You e a resource and encouragement to others as they watch you live out your calling. You are more likely to follow through on what God is sharing because others know about your calling as well. You will have support to make it through the tough times as those around you affirm your work and pray for you.

Your first step is to join the On Call in Culture Check In Team. If you are not a part of the Check In Team, simply sign up and you’ll receive weekly email prompts to check in with the On Call in munity and share what God has you doing that week, on that day, at that moment and read what others are doing as well.

If you are already a part of the team, consider inviting a friend to join you in the weekly exercise.
